is there an alternative to craigslist in baltimore? i am trying to buy a good cheap used car. i bought 2 off of craigslist in the past and it worked out fine. now it seems that all tha it is on there are scams. or the low priced cars are flagged immediately so no one can see them except the jerks that buy them up and flip them. i just saw todat the same exact ad 2 days later with a new contact number and a new higher price. it is the first time either. i just need a cheap reliable safe car for my daughter to drive. STOP THE SCAMMERS!!!!!!

Specifically: Classified ad says "Tickets for sale to xxx, price: $10." You contact the seller, and say "I want to buy them for $10." His response is "They aren't $10, they are $500. I listed them for $10 to get more people to respond." Fraud?

Is there somewhere fun to move to in the SF Valley? I've recently been offered a job in Thousand Oaks, CA but,I can't really afford to move to T.O. what would you pay for this game system? i am selling this and was wondering how much to ask for it. I have an original XBOX but it's totaly modded! I removed the 8gig an 80gig harddrive in it you can put a game in a hit copy and it will save the whole game to the harddrive and you can play it anytime without the disk. I have xbox media center on it with DIVX, XVID and every other codec you could think of, You plug it into your PC and you can browse your PC and play videos on your TV or view pictures or play music, with alot of features like playlists and much more, I have over 1000 old NES, SNES, SEGA games on it with an emulator. you can play any of them on your TV using the xbox controler, "wireless controlers of course" lol I think this is totaly awesome but when i tell people i have it they either tell me i'm full of you know what, Or they dont think it's very cool. Does this cage seem suitable for 4 full-grown female rats? (Picture Included)? I am buying this cage from somebody on craigslist.com. I am concerned however that the cage may not be suitable for my rats. Of course I intend on completely sterilizing the cage before use. I'm trying to find night shift work.? See, I have one job right now as a restaurant shift manager that takes up about 25-30 hours each week, always opening shifts (say, around 0800). I need and want a second job but I am strictly a night person. So, rather than go work my restaurant shift, then go to a second job, then go home and sleep through the night, I'd really prefer to get a second job but go to it first, working through the night, then go to the restaurant, then go home and sleep through the day. I like doing freight and stock work and have many years experience with that and with shipping/receiving. I've tried searching through state/federal agencies but haven't had much luck. Other job search engines (IE - monster.com, snagajob.com, and craigslist's job section) don't seem to focus on much night shift work or, for that matter, much beyond basic day-shift retail and office work. Any websites or other resources where I might find more night shift listings or that are aimed primarily at night shift openings would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the Baltimore, MD area.

When is the best time of the month to look for an apartment? I'm planning to move from Baltimore to Cleveland this Spring, I will visiting Cleveland in February to find an apartment. I'm hoping to find an apartment lease that would begin sometime between the beginning of March and the beginning of April. Considering most apartments have leases that start on the first of the month – would it be advantageous to look for apartments in the first week of February rather than the middle of February? I was thinking that more new apartments would be posted on Craigslist and the like near the beginning of the month... does this sound correct or would it be wiser to check out places towards the middle of February/closer to the lease's start date? Lost coat. What are the odds of it turning up? So my 2008 started off to a great year. My brand new coat, and I'm talking 6 days old, was mistakenly taken when I was at a bar in Baltimore. It was approximately 1:30 am when I preceded to leave and then realized my coat was no longer located on the coat rack by the pool table. I was in the bar for no more than 45 minutes!! I'm sure someone thought it was theirs but there was no other coat left that matched mine. I tried calling the bar yesterday but since it was New Years they were closed. I'll try calling later today, but what are the odds it shows up? I also posted a lost & found ad on craigslist. Any other suggestions for tracking it down?
