  1. leave early...traffic sucks.
  2. i think you should move to not baltimore. why would you want to pick that aplace?
  3. Why Baltimore? Try San Diego instead. Excellent schools, great weather, "America's Finest City" for a zillion reasons . . . if you can afford it.
  4. There are many really nice areas surrounding Baltimore. Most people are questioning you because they can't imagine you wanting to move directly into the city. Not good. If you can afford one of the nicer nearby areas then you will probably like it. That is having the best of both worlds, except you will still have to deal with the traffic, sorry :-(.
  5. If money is really not an issue and you like an urban environment, try Fell's Point or the harbor area. Do you have kids? There are some excellent private schools. Otherwise, you may want to choose a suburb with highly rated schools. The suburbs in Northern Baltimore County are beautiful. Again, very expensive.
  6. Okay here's a list of areas to not walk around mainly at night anyway: Gay St. Park Heights Edmondson Village Lexington Market Belair Rd. Mondawmin Mall area that should be enough Baltimore is just like any other city. You got your crime and pollution. All the stuff that makes a city a city. Our harbor is polluted so play near it at your own risk. Our school system sucks cuz some people like spending budgets on donuts and vacations. That's about it really. We got really good hotels though and the Gallery is the best place to shop downtown as well as the Harbor Place.
