- - Oxygen is the waste product produced by plants in photosynthesis. - Photosynthesis creates sugar (glucose) to fuel the plant and water. The chemical equation for photosynthesis: 6 CO2 + 12 H2O + photons => C6H12O6 + 6 O2 + 6 H2O. Photosynthesis is a chemical reaction that takes place in the chlorophyll of the plant, chlorophyll is green so that is why plants are green.
- the products of photosynthesis-glucose waste by product of photosynthesis-oxygen
- dear jason,it is so simple. The product which is used up by plants,is glucose (C6 H12 O6) and waste product is oxygen which is used by nearly all living beings for respiration, even plants.IF still not satisfied ,look up in any encyclopedia for details.bye!
- 6CO"2"+6H"2"O+Energy(sunlight)=C"6"H"12"O"6"(+6O"2"(waste product)) . Sorry, I dont know how to do sub text but the numbers in quotes are the number of atom in the molecule Basically the plant takes in carbon dioxide, water and sunlight in and convert it into stored energy as sugar and releasing oxygen as a waste product. Then to use the stored energy they do the same process in reverse taking in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide that is called cellular resperation.
